we would like to thank you for the opportunity to see Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde at the Audimax Hamburg. Overall, we very much enjoyed the performance and found it to be a creative and engaging interpretation of the classic story.

The plot was easy to follow in general and successfully showed the inner conflict between Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. We especially liked the switching of roles between the characters, which made the contrast between good and evil very clear and added an exciting dynamic to the play.

The dance scenes during the moments of attack were particularly impressive. They were intense, expressive and added a physical dimension to the violence without relying too much on dialogue. Another strong visual element was the red-lit door on stage, which created tension and symbolism.

The minimalist stage design worked very well, as it kept the focus on the actors and the story.

The use of lighting was also very effective. The contrast between dark and bright scenes helped guide the audience’s attention and supported the mood of the play. In addition, the musical interludes were a clever way to bridge scene changes smoothly and keep the rhythm of the performance.

As constructive feedback, we felt that the play could be slightly shortened in some parts to improve clarity and understanding. Since we are Students it would be nice if the show could beginn at 18:30 instead of 19:30 to keep our attention. In a few scenes, we also missed a bit of emotional passion, which could have made the characters‘ inner struggles even more powerful.

Despite these small points, we found the performance to be very strong and memorable. Thank you for an interesting and well-staged evening at the theatre.
