Welcome to our new issue of the University Players e.V. magazine. A lot has happened, and we decided to enrich our magazine with different content representing the changes within the UPs! First, all our issues will be published under the same name, UP NEWS.
This issue includes information about our various productions. Some are current – Eurydice, some are coming soon – The Inheritance Game, and some are ongoing – As You Want It.
The information about the plays are in English and German. Further, we included different texts “travelling” between these two languages, which resembles our reality and wish to reach as broad an audience as possible. It also enables guest students, lecturers, and friends unfamiliar with German to participate in the magazine.
We created new categories, such as interviews with the respective creative teams of each production. As a treat for you, and certainly for us, we include creative writing pieces inspired by our plays, starting with a poem. In the future, we look for more potential writers who feel inspired to write fan fiction, reviews or other creative forms to enhance our magazine.
Another important factor towards the future is that we established our own blog, up-news.de, where you can find our articles as online versions as well as works unpublished in our printed issue. The blog enables us to expand our writing and publish in between the printed issues: bits and pieces about us, maybe diary entries, and more.
Meanwhile, enjoy our new magazine and dive into the world of the UPs and its variety of productions and people.
